The PRP 'Vampire' Facelift - What is it?

This treatment gets its name from the process - where platelets are re-injected to help stimulate new blood vessel formation, collagen production and helps build a new dermis so the skin is plumper, rejuvenated and more youthful looking.

PRP can be applied to the skin by microneedling and/or injection. We use both methods to ensure your skin gets the best benefits from both methods. You may experience ‘sunburned’ type skin feeling from 30 minutes to 48 hours depending on your skin sensitivity and healing process.’

5 Benefits of PRP Facelifts

1. Tighter, Plumper and Rejuvenated Skin

Microneedling encourages the production of collagen and elastin that will renew the skin cells. Platelets helps enhance smoothness, reduce wrinkles and improve skin texture. Also combination of PRP with Microneedling helps to improve imperfections including acne scars, sun spots, malasma and wrinkles.

2. Non-invasive

Compared to other aesthetics options, PRP is non-invasive and does not use surgery, deep injections, or harsh lasers to achieve the benefits.

3. Short Recovery with Minimal Downtime

No downtime for PRP with needle injections. When its combined with microneedling, your skin will appear red and flushed however this a good sign that your skin is working to heal and produce Collagen and Elastin. Within 24 to 48 hours redness usually subsides. Skin peeling and mild dryness may occur.

4. Comfortable with Minimal Pain

Mild topical numbing cream is applied on the treatment areas. Since microneedling only penetrates the top layer of skin, there are very few sensory nerves to trigger pain and numbing cream reduces the pain.

5. Long Lasting Results

Although results are not instant positive effects of PRP can last up to 24 months. We do advise to have a course of 3 treatments over 3 months for dramatic results and maintain with a treatment every 3 months after you’ve completed your course. During your consultation we will also recommend products to help enhance your results.

Are PRP Treatments PAINFUL?

A popular question! The answer is no - we use topical numbing cream while administering the treatment. So while you may feel minimal discomfort, this a relatively painless process.
